In the recent months, many partners are asking about issues with SW integration (HW group sensors to their software). This AN presents a brief summary of important and useful facts.
HWg-Ares12 is a remote environment monitoring solution that can be used at any place with GSM coverage. Contains a battery for several hours of backup. Alerts to power failures by email or SMS (up to 5 phone numbers).

We extended the temperature range for our outdoor 1-Wire temperature sensor. The Temp-1Wire-Outdoor 3m can now be used from -50°C to +125°C (-58°F to 257°F). It can also be connected to the HWg-STE device.
The HWg-PWR was tested with several new M-Bus meters. Electricity meters from EIZ - SCHRACK and DEIF. M-Bus Heat meters from EWT - DIEHL Group and GWF. Indoor M-Bus temperature and humidity sensor with display from Relay.de.
1-Wire hub Power-boosted hub for the 1-Wire bus. Compatible with 1-Wire and 1-Wire UNI bus. With 1-Wire hub Power, several sensors with higher current consumption (such as Sensor 60V 1W-UNI or Sensor 20mA 1W-UNI) can be connected to a single Poseidon 2250 unit.

New video tutorial for easy beginning. HWg-PDMS is a monitoring windows application for data-collection from all HW group IP sensors. The software is free for 3 sensors. NEWS: MS Office 2010 support, Damocles DI counters supported, Email POP3 data collector included.

All Poseidon models can now send alert emails to four recipients. Two emails per line, separated by comma.
New MANuals and SPECifications are available for I/O Controller PL, ER84a and ER88a. New functions overview is in the big I/O Controller manual.
IP sensors from HW group are now supported in the iMCA Controller application from IKS AUTOMATION (Australia).
You can find the Calibrator utility on the Poseidon 2250 page. Every sensor connected to the Poseidon unit can be calibrated with this utility. Valid for all Poseidon models.
DC Power Strip splits 12VDC power from a power adapter to connect other devices (e.g. a flood or smoke detector). Useful for Poseidon 2250, 32xx and Damocles MINI.

HW group presents Spider: an active converter between RS-485 and 1-Wire bus. Spider connects 4 dry contacts or 1-Wire bus RJ11 sensors to Poseidon 2250 and RS-485 (RJ45) bus.

HW group presents new water leak detector: HWg-WLD Relay. The device detects a water leak anywhere along the length of the connected sensing cable (2+2m – 6.5+6.5ft). Water leak or cable disconnection is indicated by activating a relay (NO/NC).
